👀 Maya Protocol Reports $1.7 Million Security Exploit

🔹 Cross-chain liquidity protocol Maya Protocol reported a security exploit resulting in the theft of approximately $1.7 million in crypto assets, according to blockchain security firm PeckShield.

🔹 On-chain tracking indicates that the bulk of the stolen funds — 20 BTC valued at roughly $1.34 million — currently resides in an attacker-controlled wallet address.

🔹 Project founder Aaluxx Myth confirmed that in addition to the 20 BTC, the exploiter drained approximately $300,000 worth of other digital assets. The Maya Protocol team completely halted network operations to limit further exposure, with plans to resume swap functionality once the vulnerability is patched.

🔹 Myth also extended an outreach to the attacker, offering a white-hat bounty reward in exchange for the safe return of the compromised assets.
