⚽️ FIFA Leverages Avalanche Blockchain for 2026 World Cup Ticketing — Turnover Surpasses $25M

🔹 The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has deployed an Avalanche-based blockchain infrastructure for its new ticket distribution system ahead of the 2026 World Cup. CoinDesk highlighted how this mechanism operates and the volume of tickets already processed under the new model.

🔹 The solution runs via the FIFA Collect platform, developed in partnership with tech firm Modex. It utilizes a dedicated Avalanche subnet and introduces two innovative digital utilities: Right-to-Buy (RTB) and Right-to-Ticket (RTT).

🔹 An RTB is not the ticket itself, but rather grants the holder a priority right to purchase one. This digital asset can be freely traded on secondary markets. Upon redemption, the RTB automatically converts into an RTT, which unlocks the ability to buy an official match ticket through FIFA's standard system. Total turnover under this new framework has already crossed the $25 million mark.
