🔐 Pavel Durov Announces New Native Crypto Wallet in Telegram 🔹 Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov has announced a major new update: the launch of a native, non-custodial crypto wallet named Gram. "This summer will see the largest rollout of a non-custodial crypto wallet in human history. Instant zero-fee crypto transactions for over a billion users are about to become reality. We're bringing a native non-custodial Gram wallet to every Telegram app!" Durov stated in his official channel post. 🔹 As a reminder, Durov previously announced the rebranding of Toncoin, the native token of The Open Network (TON), back to Gram. This was the original asset name specified in the network's initial whitepaper. Pavel and Nikolai Durov were the primary visionaries behind the initial development of The Open Network. 🔹 Due to regulatory pressures, they stepped away from the project, handing management over to the open-source community. Over time, several solutions were integrated into Telegram, most notably the Wallet bot. 🔹 In his announcement, Durov hinted that the new non-custodial wallet will be embedded directly into the core Telegram client app. As a result, it may run alongside the existing bot or replace it entirely.
