🔹 Leading financial institutions and major digital asset firms have announced the establishment of the Bitcoin Security Consortium, a strategic coalition formed to fund research into Bitcoin's long-term network security, with a special emphasis on quantum computing preparedness.

🔹 Founding members have already committed a total of $15 million in research capital over the next three years.

🔹 The initiative aims to support Bitcoin Core developers while serving as a trusted, authoritative benchmark for the ongoing security health of the premier cryptocurrency.

🔹 The consortium's founding partners include Anchorage Digital, ARK Invest, BlackRock, Block, Blockstream, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets, Galaxy, and Strategy. Operational coordination will be led by Mike Schmidt, Executive Director of the non-profit organization Brink.
